RESEARCH QUESTION How can a high-end fashion company best use Cradle to Cradle as a basic principle in process and product as a unique selling proposition? ABSTRACT Cradle to Cradle is a concept to improve production processes and end-products by producing in technical or biological cycles. As the topic at the moment still is comparatively unknown to the mass of people and still is not used for a high-end fashion company but is exceedingly interesting to work with it is the subject of the following research. The research aims to be a decision support for high-end fashion companies that tinker with the idea of approaching the Cradle to Cradle principles. The paper is based on a theoretical background, several personal interviews, a focus group and a survey. Overall researches showed that people are interested in Cradle to Cradle high-end fashion products but would appreciate an additional value on top as a reason to spend more money for them. Moreover especially these times brands need to differentiate from others to generate profit which can happen with great designs in connection with the Cradle to Cradle concept. The enclosed guideline gives advice how to alter a high-end fashion company on the specific example of the German brand WUNDERKIND by Wolfgang Joop.
