Samenvatting

The purpose of this document is to create an advisory report for SAHB eSports, an association focusing on the organization of events and the management of eSports teams. Esports is the competitive practice of video games. SAHB eSports aims to be a club bringing together video game enthusiasts around the same passion. Although it is an independent association, SAHB eSport is strongly linked to the Sélestat Alsace Handball professional club, from which it benefits from material and human support, but also from an intangible support like its network of partners. The goal of this advisory report is to define how and by what means the financial stability of the association can be ensured. To achieve this, an analysis of the association has been carried out which studies its internal and external characteristics, its positioning in the economic environment, and proposes solutions to reach the final objective. The analysis identified the strengths of the association: its proximity to SAHB, the material resources at its disposal, and the absence of competition in its sector of activity. Thanks to the various projects carried out since its creation, SAHB eSports has been able to clarify a direction to follow and find an audience to retain. Thus, the club will be aimed at young players between the ages of 13 and 25 living around Sélestat. The SAHB eSports offers them an innovative solution to share their passion for video games with other young people in the region. The challenge of this advisory report lies in the mobilization of the local gamer community and in the ability to make the most profit out of their participation in SAHB eSports projects. The main solution is to regularly organize events around the practice of video games for the target community. These events will always have a competitive vocation but 11must also be able to accommodate recreational players. Besides the competitive or recreational aspect, these events will aim to educate players and parents in good video game practices. The events will be based on digital communication channels, created by the club and made available to players to maintain a spirit of community around the identity of SAHB eSports. The purpose of these projects is to create cash revenue: the entry of events is chargeable, the sale of subscriptions and memberships, sponsorship income, and finally the on-site catering. The new sources of income will then make it possible to finance new bigger projects, with the end goal of building a competitive eSports team at national level.
