Fast paced, networked games are complex to develop; there are many challenges with developing and deploying them. There are multiple available frameworks or services that add networking capabilities to the client or server runtime. How can you decide which framework to use for your next project? This project explores various criteria for the comparison and selection of a networking stack appropriate for developing a simple battle-royale type of game. After choosing a framework, however, netcode must b robust enough to handle unfavorable internet conditions. The report contains brief definitions of techniques that prevent cheating and improve the player experience, as well as associated resources.
