Samenvatting

The impact of remittances on the development of Morocco is investigated. The Moroccan community in The Netherlands sends high amounts of money to Morocco.

Some conclusions in the report are that a decline of remittance flows to Morocco can not be expected; the impact of remittances on the Moroccan development should not be neglected; younger generations prefer contributing to the development of Morocco by giving donations to development aid organizations instead of sending money to relatives.
