Samenvatting

This paper used a professional technique to studies the personal values of Vietnamese first and second-generation entrepreneurs in The Netherlands, and also to interpret the differences between the two generations. By an examining method to clarify the most important values perceived by the entrepreneurs, the data enabled the researcher to build up specific definitions about these entrepreneurs. After finding out the key personal values manifested by the Vietnamese entrepreneurs in The Netherlands, a comparison test was applied to test the differences in values between the Vietnamese first-generation entrepreneurs and the Vietnamese secondentrepreneurs in The Netherlands. Finally, the results revealed noteworthy differences between the two groups of Vietnamese entrepreneurs, both in their lifegoals as well as their preferred modes of behavior.
