Grand China Publishing House is a private-owned publishing company which was founded in 2009 at Shenzhen, China. The company is not satisfied with the efficiency and effectiveness of their current reverse logistics process. Therefore, Grand China Publishing House requires an investigation on their current reverse logistics process. The goal of this research is to assess the current reverse logistics process at Grand China Publishing House; to identify existing problems; to analyze problem causes; and to come up with possible solution(s) that Grand China Publishing House can undertake to optimize their reverse logistics process. The main research question has been formulated as how to optimize the reverse logistics process at Grand China Publishing House. The main research question has been split into four sub-questions: (1) What is the current reverse logistics process at Grand China Publishing House, (2) What problems can be identified within the reverse logistics process, (3) What are the causes for the problems, (4) What action(s) can be undertaken to solve the problems.
