Samenvatting

The purpose of this project is to develop the core functions of a demo system. The demo system consists of a raspberry pi computer vision system, a white blackground with a colored ball in random position, Siemens PLC, SCADA and a robot with a gripper. Due to limited budget, control of the robot is out of the scope of this project. This project develops the the core function of detecting the color and track the positon of the ball under command from SCADA then interface the result of computer vision with the Siemens PLC and SCADA. Raspbery pi is the single board computer which runs a Linux-kernal based operating system. Raspberry pi model B and the camera board attached to the CSI(camera serial interface)are used as the compouter vision platform to detect the a colored ball in a random position. The settings of the parameters and conntrol of the raspberry pi are from the SCADA and through Siemens inerface. The project provides a low budget solution to combine the computer vision with the industrial PLC and SCADA interface.
