Samenvatting

The Zeeuws Archief (ZA) is managing and conserving the most important sources of the Zeeuwse history. The tight budget in relation to the amount of work they do and the increasing digitalisation with the corresponding consequences for the services of the company are two main factors for the reorganization of the ZA. On June 17th of 2008 the organization goals were combined in the Organization and Formation Plan (OFP), in 2009 the OFP was implemented. Now the moment has come for the ZA to evaluate the new organization model. The ZA wants to have a good preparation for the evaluation, that's why they started an investigation. The main question of this investigation is: 'What evaluation method is the most effective to evaluate the new organization model of the ZA and what is the best method to implement this evaluation?'. This report is the result of the investigation.

The investigation will start with a theory study followed by a study of the practice of the ZA. The last aspect exists out of an interview with the management team (MT), an enquiry with organization advice bureaus and an investigation of already executed evaluations within the ZA.

The main conclusions of this investigation are:
• The INK-model is the most effective evaluation method.
• The implementation square is the only useful implementation method that could be found.
This report ends with a number of recommendations, they are as following:
• The MT has to go into the theory of the INK-model.
• Due to the limited time for this project and minimal knowledge about the implementation square (for both the ZA and the provider), the model won't be used. Instead, the guide lines from the Hogeschool Zeeland will form the implementation advice. The implementation advice will exist out of the following aspects: a communication plan, a planning and a matrix with tasks, authorities and responsibilities.
