The HBO Knowledge Base is a website offered by SURF and provides public access to a variety of research output. The participating universities collect the material and make it available, always with the permission from the copyright holder and the institutions and organisations that are involved.

These Terms of Use describe the general Terms of Use of the HBO Knowledge Base and the information and content made available on this website (including other formats used for the distribution of data such as RSS feeds).


SURF respects the privacy of the HBO Knowledge Base visitors and therefore aims to collect data in the most unobtrusive manner possible and in accordance with the Dutch Data Protection Act.

SURF uses your personal data only to improve the services that the HBO Knowledge Base offers. The personal data you share with us shall not be kept for longer than is necessary. You have the right to request access to your personal data. If you find any inaccurate information, you may send us a notice requesting to correct or remove it.


SURF uses cookies to run the HBO Knowledge Base. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on your computer’s hard disk when you visit a website.

HBO Knowledge Base.nl keeps track of general data about its visitors. We use Google Analytics to help monitoring how visitors use HBO Knowledge Base.nl. If you find a publication that is in any way inaccurate or incomplete, you may contact the contact person of the university that offers the publication concerned.
