Samenvatting

A significant portion of Dutch infrastructure, including gas, water, and electricity networks, is underground. The lack of clear mapping leads to uncoordinated digging, increasing the risk of damage and labor costs. Current detection methods like probes, sonar, and ground-penetrating radar have limitations, making accurate underground mapping a persistent challenge. Here, the first steps in the development of a quantum magnetometer to detect the underground infrastructure better & faster than the current detection methods without the use of experts is presented.
