Corrigendum to “Qualitative evaluation of failure mechanisms of aluminium 6061-T6 cold spray repairs” [Eng. Fail. Anal. 175 (2025) 109581]

Samenvatting

The authors regret that the original article included certain names of commercial vendors and systems. We have been requested to remove this commercial information. Accordingly, we would like to revise the following paragraph, without altering any other content:  Published text:  “Cold spraying was performed by two different commercial vendors, one of whom used a low-pressure cold spray system, while the other used a high-pressure system. The cold spray repair (coating/deposition) in this study was conducted using a Plasma Giken (Saitama, Japan) Kinetik system, with nitrogen as the processing gas, heated to 500– 800 °C, and 6061 powder particles accelerated at velocities between 500 and 800 m/s. These parameters were chosen to ensure optimal bonding while minimizing thermal effects on the substrate and deposit. Further technical details on the cold spray process can be found in [20,21]. However, the precise deposition parameters and application techniques used in this study are proprietary to Titomic and Centerline.”  Corrected text:  “Cold spraying was performed by two different commercial vendors, one of whom used a low-pressure cold spray system, while the other used a high-pressure system.
