Samenvatting

This following report contains the bachelor paper as part of the study at the “Saxion Hogeschool” in the specific faculty of social services. The main question to that studie is: “In which way can and should medial knowledge be part of the professionality of a social worker within the field of Open Child and Youth Work”? According to that, there are also seven partial questions. The questions are: The bachelor thesis is meant to be a deductive hypothesis, which means that she leads from a general point of a view to specified statement to a subject. The bachelor thesis is:"It is an important requirement to the professional profile of a social worker, that he internalizes a jointed concept of a pedagogical, medial use within the Open Children and Youth Work in this field.” With the aid of the study, the hypothesis can be classified as applicable and valid.






It will be studied, how a use of media in the center “OT-Heim St. Nikomedes” may be realized in a conceptional way and it will also be explored, which competencies will be necessary for an adequate, practical realization. Therefore, the case study refers to the center “OT-Heim St. Nikomedes.” Necessary to that end is a conceptional draft to be made and to be found in a detailed description. The center “OT-Heim” is specified as an open institution and the letters “OT” mean in german “Offene Tür”, which stands translated for “open door”, and is respectively meant by the term “open institution”. Furthermore, it is to be seen as an open meeting location owned by the church, which is open for teenager and young people in general, no matter of their origin or their educational, social and sexual background. The chosen investigational design, the listed study strategy, the purpose and the statement of the problem will be described in detail. In addition to that, the case study will be defined and legitimated. The study design will be circumstantiated, which is characterized as the practical oriented study basis. The study plan, the declaration, the analysis and the conclusion of the results of a competency quiz, the expert interviews and a group discussion containing the development of a proposed solution in form of a concept will lead to the bachelor paper of the fourth study year.
The answer to the main question is to be found in form of a conceptional sketch idea and testifies, that it is necessary to obtain a medial use and that it could be handled internal. As well it is important to be seen, that there is a definitive request and a need for, in best case, a medial coach or an extern specialist to work within in the team of the OT-Heim. In this aspect, the financial planning is to be highly respected and it is essential to the work and the team, that the medial coach or the extern specialist will be seen as part of the whole team and that they align with the conceptional structure of the institution.
