SUMMARY
During this workshop, we will work on the practical application of robotics and Lean to increase your production efficiency, particularly if you are producing a high variety of products.

PROGRAM
Businesses are scaling up with robotic automatization to improve quality and productivity or to cope with the shortage in the labour market. Implementing robotic solutions is not an easy task and there are many boundary conditions to consider.
Are you thinking about the application of robotics and smart technology? Do you face difficulties with applications with high product variety? Do you feel like you are not well prepared to take the first and following steps? We understand the challenges you are facing! To help you get closer to your desired goal, we will provide you with insights into the practical application of robots in Lean assemblies, based on our practice-oriented research.
During the workshop, you will work in an experimental production environment and deal with a variety of production challenges. You will face challenges such as fluctuating demand, employee shortages, quality assurance, and material supply. You will gain hands-on experience on how Lean techniques, in conjunction with our modular testing setup, the Qube robot cell, can help to deal with these challenges. Furthermore, we will present new Lean tools like the Smart Value Stream Map that can help you deploy and design robot solutions more effectively.
