Power UP! A futures method and its spin-off in the ESC Network
Power UP! A futures method and its spin-off in the ESC Network
Samenvatting
To achieve national climate ambitions, accelerating the energy and circularity transitions is essential. The challenge lies in building response capacity within organisations, municipalities and the education sector to shape responsible, future-oriented practices that can drive energy and circularity transitions and stimulate meaningful change. Addressing this challenge requires collaboration and shared learning processes between businesses, knowledge institutions, governments, and the education sector. The Power Up! project focuses on strengthening so-called learning communities: partnerships in which stakeholders collectively learn, experiment, and innovate to enable interorganizational learning and system-level change.
The ESC-collaboration project, reported in this chapter is a working package of the larger Power UP! Program, and investigates the research question: How can learning communities look at futures in a flexible and open way, without foreclosing trajectories by narrow assumptions and expectations, often related to current professional roles?
