To what extent can AI replace or support the work of animators? What are the limitations of this technology? How can animators meaningfully integrate AI into their practice? Through analysing current developments and looking to the future, this essay aims to provide guidance on taking a conscious and strategic approach to AI in animation, and contribute to constructive dialogue within the sector and education.
