Samenvatting

The computer program ART.LAB is an important product with which physicians and researchers can measure different blood vessel wall properties, and save the recorded radio frequency data (RF-data) and other measured properties into files for later analysis. One of the most relevant ART.LAB measurement is the arterial wall velocity and related change in diameter (distention) of the arterial walls. These properties in time-based signal forms, indicates the stiffness of a blood vessel, which is of use to researchers and physicians.
