Well-being in the hospitality industry
Well-being in the hospitality industry
Samenvatting
What I discovered is an imbalance between the three core components of well-being: mental, social, and physical. While well-being has become increasingly important, especially among the new generation after the pandemic, hotels still tend to prioritise physical services, often neglecting the mental and social aspects. To address this gap, I created a manual titled "The Knowledge to Live Better", designed as a resource for hotels to support the implementation and promotion of mental and social well-being. The manual includes a workshop in which guests participate in games, activities, and shared experiences aimed at helping them understand how their body functions and how everything is interconnected. All of this is grounded in science-based knowledge. The goal is to empower guests with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their future health. I believe that hotels should be more than just places to unplug from stressful lives, they should also serve as channels to promote and educate people about well-being in a holistic and meaningful way.
