Samenvatting

Expert finding systems (EFS) is a method of finding experts by typing in a search query that results in multiple expert profiles. An expert profile is a profile of a user that has certain knowledge and expertise. After a matching process between the search query and the available profiles in the system, several profiles are suggested that would be able to answer the query. With this technique, the person - to - person communication is more motivated than a person - to - machine. This delivered in several sections and parts of the profile such as Software systems, Network systems, Operating systems and etc.In addition, the profile contains a section for proficiency level on the topics mentioned in it. The different levels to choose from are basic, limited working proficiency, intermediate, full professional proficiency. There is a section that addresses the hobbies, interests, and communities
of the user. This is an important section as one 's hobby might be a "hidden gem" for someone else 's problem. There is more research needed into the possible reliable sources of knowledge and expertise. Also, a test run of the system is essential, bec
