By combining immersive audio elements with the visual assets of the narrative-driven horror game andquot;Shadow of Singraven, andquot;. This thesis investigates how sound design can be developed to improve player immersion. Using reference games and horror movies analysis to guide design decisions, the study focuses on finding effective methods for creating tension and atmosphere through sound effects, ambience, and dialogue. Key findings emphasize the value of dialogue in promoting narrative clarity and emotional impact, as well as the significance of spatial audio, adaptive ambience, and the deliberate use of silence to build suspense. For sound design to be closely incorporated with gameplay and story elements, the implementation process places a strong emphasis on iterative development, experimentation, and taking narrative designs into account. Even though there were difficulties due to ongoing development and technical limitations, the research shows a noticeable improvement in audio emptiness and offers a organized framework for further development. The results advance knowledge of immersive audio in horror games and provide useful suggestions for incorporating sound design to improve narrative impact and player engagement.
