This study focuses on the possible advantage of an aesthetic appeal on the adoption of photovoltaic (PV) cells and panels. Study deals with the importance of this perception of solar panels by potential buyers. It reports the relative importance of aesthetics compared with other attributes, namely investment costs, payback period, reliability and expected services as experienced by homeowners.
Concluded that the decision to adopt solar panels is determined by more factors than just the investment costs. These results are not in line with the general perception of the installers.
