Samenvatting

Research has been done at SURFnet to find out what the conditions were for starting to use a new technology and to see if this technology complies with these conditions. Also part of the research was to find out if the equipment that SURFnet uses is suitable for using the technology. The results of this research have overall been positive and even though not alle conditions were satisfied, a positive advice has been given to start using that technology. The reason that this advise was given, even though not all conditions were satisfied, is that changes to the technology have already been proposed that tackle these shortcomings and that the current version of the technology provides significant advantage over the other options.
