Shock absorption in knee osteoarthritis
Shock absorption in knee osteoarthritis
Samenvatting
The research aims to test to what extend there is a difference in shock absorption between knee osteoarthritis patients and controls. Shock absorption can be explained by the amount of shock, which is absorbed by the body. The shock, that needs to be absorbed, travels through the body like a wave distally to proximally. The study shows that knee osteoarthritis patients have a decreased shock absorption compared to healthy people, in this case measured with accelerometers and an algorithm.
