Samenvatting

The graduation project has taken place in IDOM, a consulting, architecture and engineering company, in Madrid. This report aims to enhance the sustainability of IDOM’s water projects by exploring green and smart infrastructure addon solutions for the core buisness lines “Waste Water Treatment Plants as well as “Distribution & Conveyance”. Drawing from a comprehensive analysis of the Lake Ohrid case study, in-company interviews, and extensive literature reviews,
the report outlines practical strategies and technologies which can be implemented across project phases.
Thesis question: How can the water department of IDOM enhance its sustainability throughout the offering, design, and delivery phases?
