Samenvatting

An improved Preventive Maintenance (PM) process has been created for Shell Pernis. The improved process has closed the loop of Maintenance Execution and Reliability Engineering. Added feedback loops and control points secured continuous improvement of PM plans. This made the process an end-to-end process. The improved process is implemented on one production unit. A major part of the project was the development of an intelligent tool to guarantee assurance of Reliability Engineering and to secure efficient continuous improvement of PM plans. Furthermore a PM strategy was constructed because no vision and mission was available to achieve the desired 80/20 ratio of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance expenses.
