Several studies have shown that flying electric between the so-called ABC-islands in the Caribbean (i.e., Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) is feasible with the upcoming first generation of battery-electric aircraft. This paper presents a real-world case study that deals with the technical and operational …

Battery energy storage (BES) can provide many grid services, such as power flow management to reduce distribution grid overloading. It is desirable to minimise BES storage capacities to reduce investment costs. However, it is not always clear how battery sizing is affected by battery siting and power …

Underutilised charging stations can be a bottleneck in the swift transition to electric mobility. This study is the first to research cooperative behaviour at public charging stations as a way to address improved usage of public charging stations. It does so by viewing public charging stations as a common-pool …

This study used historical data from a Park & Ride facility in Amsterdam to build a validated computer (Python) model to optimize battery and grid connection sizing. The case study modelled is equipped with 8 EV chargers (16 connections), an on-site supplementary battery, and a limited capacity grid …

Although dance interventions may have lots of advantages in improving frailty, there are few papers focusing on the effects such interventions have on frail older adults living in the community setting. This study investigates whether a dance intervention can improve the level of frailty among Chinese …

The number of Electric Vehicles (EVs) is expected to increase exponentially in the coming years. The growing presence of charging points generates a multitude of interactions between EV users, particularly in metropolitan areas where a charging infrastructure is largely part of the public domain. There …

This paper presents data-driven insights from a case study that was carried out in an University EV charging plaza where EV charging demand is met with the combination of the University campus grid and installed solar capacity. First, we assessed the plaza dependency on the grid for meeting EV charging …

Background: Adverse outcome pathway (AOP) networks are versatile tools in toxicology and risk assessment that capture and visualize mechanisms driving toxicity originating from various data sources. They share a common structure consisting of a set of molecular initiating events and key events, connected …

End-stage kidney disease patients treated with conventional hemodialysis (CHD) are known to have impaired physical performance and protein-energy wasting (PEW). Nocturnal hemodialysis (NHD) was shown to improve clinical outcomes, but the evidence is limited on physical performance and PEW. We investigate …
