Samenvatting

This report presents 1) a biodiversity baseline study conducted in the restored areas of the Mushullakta community, Napo, Ecuador, and 2) a community-based monitoring protocol for ongoing biodiversity monitoring. Monitoring is a vital part of conservation and restoration, as it provides practitioners with insight into the process and shows where cost-effective adjustments need to be made to maximize the socio-environmental success of their work. Furthermore, the community receives donations for the restoration work that they perform, so the results from monitoring are crucial for reporting back to the investors that financially enable this project.
