Summary

Tomatoes are an essential crop for small-scale farmers in Nebbi Municipality, contributing to family income and food security. Despite its global popularity and nutritional importance, the tomato value chain experiences significant post-harvest losses in Nebbi Municipality. This study focuses on the losses that occur and the main causes thereof. Research is being done into what strategies are needed to limit post-harvest losses, increase food security and maintain the quality of the products.
