The Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) Experiment on Sint Eustatius is part of the broader research project 'Food Resilient Futures in the Caribbean Netherlands', which aims to contribute to a prosperous society with a resilient population and a healthy natural environment. This experiment is situated within a Living Lab framework that combines agricultural innovation with local participation, youth engagement, and educational outreach. The work on Statia focused on three experimental components: rainwater harvesting systems, diverse growing methods, and youth engagement aimed at strengthening local capacity and ownership in sustainable agriculture.
