The equine sector is facing increasing pressure to improve sustainability in feeding and horse management, while learners increasingly prefer flexible and practice-oriented education. This qualitative exploratory study examined the market demand, learner needs, and competitive landscape for a course on sustainable equine nutrition, in order to determine how Hogeschool van Hall Larenstein (HVHL) could develop a relevant lifelong learning offer for the Dutch equine sector.
