Samenvatting

The European research project Smart Light Concept (SLIC) is a collaboration between 2 knowledge institutions, 6 local authorities and 1 grid operator. They are working together to investigate in practice what investment in sustainable public lighting can contribute to reducing carbon emissions. They can save, for example, on their energy bill by installing energy-efficient LED lighting that suits their location. At the same time, it is important to know what the new smart lighting means for the safety of citizens, biodiversity and whether it actually yields money. These aspects are included in our research that will be conducted over 3 years. This video informs about this project, funded by The European Union.
