Destinations worldwide are competing for inward tourism, in which their image as a tourism destination is becoming more and more important. Branding is a method that can help these destinations to create a desired image, therefor it is an important topic for the tourism industry. Nevertheless, destination branding is a young discipline and a relatively unexplored field for branding professionals.
As the dissertation is partly written as an advice to the client company Europe Destination Marketing, one of the sub questions is How can Europe Destination Marketing apply destination branding
to the situation of its clients?
