This presentation explores the challenges and opportunities of integrating human insights into AI-driven decision-making. While AI excels in pattern recognition and data analysis, it often struggles with context, ethics, and adaptability. Through case studies—including the Bruges parking system, Zillow’s real estate valuation, gender bias in employment agencies, and linguistic challenges at Inholland University—we highlight AI’s limitations and the risks of bias. The growing societal skepticism towards AI underscores the need for a collaborative approach. By combining AI’s analytical power with human expertise, we can enhance decision-making, ensure ethical responsibility, and achieve performance augmentation.
