Summary

Literature study has been completed within this research to find the possibilities to add e-health to the short-term tinnitus treatment provision in Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg en Maatschappelijke Dienstverlening (Hereinafter GGMD) for hearing impaired. This in order to add missing elements to the existing treatment range to improve the results of the treatment. Initially, we look at what tinnitus is, what complaints patients have and what’s important within the tinnitus treatment provision. Then we looked at what’s important to provide for a tinnitus treatment within the psychomotor therapy content (Hereinafter PMT). Besides the treatments now have been looked at to see how they are shaped and what has been missed at the short-term treatment provision.
Thereafter e-health is examined to see what possibilities exist with e-health and how e-health can be applied with the PMT.
By combining the potential of e-health and the missing parts of the short-term treatment, I came to the conclusion that e-health is a big value to the short-term treatment.
This concerns the following components;
- The number of face to face moments will stay the same, which will make the therapy a less burdensome in the daily life of the client.
- By e-health can still be considered by the own influence on the stress level of the cliënt.
