The research main aim was to analyse the guinea fowl meat value chain to identify upgrading strategies to improve the profitability of farmers in the northern region of Ghana and the inclusion of women in production. The research was carried out in Savelugu, Tamale and Kumbungu Districts of the Northern region involving 120 smallholder guinea fowl farmers as respondents using a questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews of important stakeholders in the chain.
